Less than two months ago we told you about our shoe guy who moved from 12th & G to 12th & I. Now our tailor, next door to the shoe guy’s old location, is on the move as well (Rumor has it that these recently and soon to be vacated stores will soon be another neighborhood restaurant). VIP Custom Tailor (1206 G ST NW) is moving to 800 K ST NW sometime in April (their best guess). At the 12th & G location VIP offered not only tailor and dry cleaning services, but they were also a tux sales & rental spot.
There is some good news/bad news with the move. Good news — VIP Custom Tailor is offering a 50% discount on all tuxedos and related accessories; Bad news — they will no longer offer tuxedo service at their new location.
But looking on the bright side, 50% is a great discount and we’ve had our eye on a white coat with tails for years, maybe now is our chance.

Right .. we need more restaurants. Perhaps a Pret A Manger since there isn’t one for a few blocks?! Why can’t we have things we need .. like a grocery or bodega? Or a good card store like Pulp (on 14th)? Something useful?
