WaPo: Fisher On The New Wax Museum
This blogger remembers ads on the radio for R.E.M and the Eurythmics at the Wax Museum in the ’80s. Madame Tussaud’s has a different viewpoint for the new incarnation in the Woodies building; so does WaPo’s Marc Fisher. Take a look at the end of Fisher’s humorous post…the ‘Memory Lane Award’ goes to the Howard Stern link which details the incident that arguably got him fired from DC 101 in 1982. Of course, that sent Stern northwards to NYC and much greater fame (or is it infamy?). Maybe Mark Foley should be added to spice the list up a bit.
