We’re Number 2!
The readers of the Cincinnati Post (online) have voted Washington, DC their second favorite US city to visit, right behind San Francisco. The results of this (presumably unscientific) poll were online today, with the following comments about our fair city:
“If you love history, beautiful architecture, a city for great conversation – everyone in Washington loves to talk politics – this is the city for you,” writes Mary McGee, who lives in L.A. but went to school at Georgetown. Our friend Samantha Roberson adds: “Washington, D.C., is a personal favorite. I have been there countless times, but no matter how often I go, the history … always shines brightly for me.”
Of particular note to this blogger was that we beat out NY City, it’s like we’re the Italian Stallion in the original Rocky! (although technically the match against Apollo Creed was a draw, and the movie takes place in Philly, so I guess that’s actually a terrible analogy.)
