Fedspotting?
Sara wrote in to our PQ Living mailbag in mid-May saying she spotted a few local Fed notables go into a local H Street eatery for dinner.
We were eating at Momiji (we love their affordable sushi) around 7 pm and watched as the Secret Service swept the street and then Justices Scalia, Ginsburg and former Justice O’Connor got out of their cars and headed into Full Kee for some dinner. We couldn’t see whether the other Justices accompanied them.
Being so close to HQ for many Federal government agencies as well as Capitol Hill makes our ‘hood a tempting food run. Regardless of branch, which Fedlebrities have you seen in our neighborhood recently?
Tip of the hat to Sara for taking the time to send in her sighting.

Actually, I have a correction to your correction! The Supreme Court Police provides security for the supreme court justices. I know because my boyfriend is about to be one of them.
Your bf is about to become a Supreme Court justice!? What an exciting way to read that ambiguous sentence!
I stand corrected Kelsey. Thanks for bringing that to light. US Marshals protect the lowlier federal judges, according to their website.
Saw Energy Secretary Steven Chu (as well as Newt Gingrich, although not at the same time) at Capital Grille recently.
I have spotted (and chatted with) David Axelrod as he stood at the corner of 7th and H, sporting light-colored jeans and a casual button-up, keeping his blackberry company as he waited (without secret service) for someone. An evening at the movies, perhaps?
I served O’Conner dinner a couple of times down in Williamsburg, VA. Nicest lady in the world, very engaging.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Just a slight correction to note…Secret Service does not provide the security detail for US Supreme Court justices. Those were the US Marshals that you saw.
