District Of Pi Pizzeria Now Open (910 F St NW)
We strolled by District of Pi today to confirm that the restaurant has indeed opened! The interior space is very nice and preserves many historical aspects of the original building. Be sure to explore the dining room towards the rear of the restaurant and you might be surprised to find yourself outside of the original building’s facade and in a two-story atrium. There is also a hint that space downstairs may be transformed into a lounge in the future.
Great cornmeal-crust pizza and original Schlafly beer are on the menu. The restaurant is open from 11am – 11pm Mon-Thurs, until midnight on Fri-Sat and until 10pm on Sundays. The address is 910 F St NW.

Had the deep dish last night. Very sturdy and not biscuity like some others. Noisy interior (a little fabric would help). A nice compliment (and not real competition to) Ella’s, Matchbox and Graffiato.
My husband and I were excited to check out Pi on the opening night and we weren’t disappointed! The place is much bigger than I thought, it extends beyond the townhouse footprint with a spacious atrium towards the Ventana tower. I really liked the decor – combination of historic and industrial that perfectly fits with the neighborhood. We built a veggie deep dish pizza and really enjoyed the cornmeal crust and the quality of all the toppings. So glad to have Pi in our neighborhood as a great addition to Ella’s and Matchbox. It will definitely have its own niche in Penn Quarter! Would be great if they open the speakeasy in the basement as was mentioned in another post. We’ll definitely be frequent guests at Pi!
