Countdown To Carbs
It’s all Bruegger’s all the time here at PQLiving this weekend, as we now note that the finishing touches are being applied to their PQ location. Saturday morning the big sign went up, so hopefully the info LiveAndWorkinPQ got is correct & we’ll all be munching on bagels come Monday!

Finally!! I place to get food early on the weekend mornings! Yeah!!! I’ll be there first thing Monday morning. See ya’ there neighbors!
Stopped by today and they gave us 1/2 dozen free bagels, menus and coupons! They seem really excited to be in the neighborhood.
Just stopped in — Cinammon Raisin bagels just came out “HOT” — yummy! Picked up a couple of bagels and a tub of cream cheese. This place is going to be dangerous for the diet…
I had an absolutely scrumptious bagel this morning on my way to work. The service was friendly and efficient. I am so excited that affordable and tasty options that do not focus on “small plates” continue to open in Penn Quarter.
Hit Bruegger’s early this morning for two small coffee’s & two bagels (nothing on them). Embarrassingly enough, I only brought $5 with me, and the total was $5.57. The coffee’s hadn’t been poured yet so I told them to just give me one; but the store manager hearing my plight, pulled the 57 cents out of her pocket & paid the difference.
I went back before work to repay the debt, but thought it was a very nice way for the store to treat its newest customers. Can you imagine the manager at McDonalds or SoHo doing something like that?
Picked up a delicious poppy bagel and light cream cheese yesterday. This was very exciting. Their bagels are 500% better than Dunkin Donuts, but I love the DD coffee… Which means I’ll be getting more exercise when I get my breakfast fix.
In the future, I will probably buy a half dozen at a time and buy a tub of cream cheese – seems significantly more economical. I am sure my buying habits will be very different from the office workers…
Please feel free to post this on a new thread, but it looks like the 717-719 H St spot will be called “Asian Spice”… anyone got the intel?

When I inquired this morning, I was told that Monday is the big opening day!
