Bruegger’s Set To Open Soon!

Posted by Columbo

We got an inside look at the new Bruegger’s Bagel Shop going in at 505 E 9th ST. One of the construction workers (foreman?) told us the shop was set to open on Friday, April 4th. We want to believe him, if he was pulling our leg wouldn’t he have said April 1st?

Hooray!!!! We desparately need this kind of place in the neighborhood for bagels, breakfast, reasonably-priced sandwiches. Can’t wait!

Bruegger’s started in my college town a few blocks from where I lived in that town’s downtown (much smaller than DC). If I had a nickel for everytime I bought a Bruegger’s bagel…what a welcome addition to the PQ !!!

FWIW, my “inside look” seemed a lot more impressive (to me) on Wednesday night when I got in & took the picture. I notice this morning that all the paper blocking the windows is down (so everyone can see inside now) and there is a huge banner outside stating that they’re opening soon.

Let’s hope that this is a 7 day a week establishment.

Is that (505 E St.) the right address? I thought it was going into the DLA Piper building on E St. between 8th and 9th, which would make the address 8__ E St.

Fixed! Thanks EJ There is no address on the doors yet so I’m going by the one in an earlier PQLiving post

Does anyone know if this place will be open on the weekends? I’m tired of having to get in the car and drive to Cap Hill to get my bagel fix on Sundays.
