RSS FeedNational Capital BBQ Battle This Weekend
Like licking your fingers? Like licking someone else’s fingers? Have we got the event for you!!! It’s Safeway’s National Capital Barbecue Battle and it includes food, fun and music on Pennsylvania Avenue between 10th Street and 14th Street both days this upcoming weekend (June 21 and 22).
Admission is $10 for adults and kids age 6 to 12 (kids under 6 get in free) and there are a number of attractions such as the SunTrust Rock Climbing Wall and the Honda Ultimate Garage (ugh…why does everything have to have a corporate brand these days???). A few of the Wizards will be stopping by and yes, even the master of DC go-go, Chuck Brown, will be performing on Saturday evening. Lots to like here although your waistline may not be so happy come Monday morning.

i once groaned that i didnt want to go to this event with friends..cause “there wouldnt be anyone interesting there”… soo of course…voila..i met the king of jordan and his wife… under a tent having some BBQ
