A few regular PQ Living readers sent word and photos that signage is now up for the Gap (600 block of 11th St NW) and for Mastro’s Steakhouse (13th and F St NW) in downtown DC. Thanks goes out to our loyal readers for the updates.
The Gap will replace a vacant but rehabbed space offered by Douglas Development with an entrance fronting the 600 block of 11th St NW next to the now closed Crumbs Bake Shop and they plan to open in September 2014 per the coming soon signage. The store will cover 14,000 square feet on two levels at 1155 F St NW. Back in 2007, the facade was jacked up and the lot then redeveloped over a multi-year period. We sure miss that Popeyes Louisiana Chicken walk-up window though.
Mastro’s Steakhouse will replace the M+S Grill at the corner of 13th and F St NW (600 13th St NW). A menu sample from their Chicago steakhouse can be found here. No opening date has been announced at this time.
