We always enjoy it when these 3 level plus penthouse roof deck units come on the market for our Cribs posts series so that we can see what owners have done, if anything, to change the stock finishes. In this case, Unit 1146 at 616 E St NW at the Clara Barton condominium is on the market for $1.15 million and we see quite a few updates to the bathrooms and most notably the kitchen.
The kitchen has been completely redone with new high end appliances, sink replacement/repositioning, a new countertop and new cabinets. It’s the best kitchen reno we’ve seen to date in the Clara Barton or Lafayette which together are the 400 plus units that are part of the Jefferson at Penn Quarter project. The building offers a plethora of amenities also including a rooftop pool, theater room, and numerous common spaces.
The condo fee comes in at $1,100 per month and the square footage is listed at 1,635 square feet. This works out to 67.3 cents per square foot per month which is in the middle of the range for Penn Quarter/downtown condo fees. At a $1.15M asking price the sales cost works out to $703 per square foot.
