PQNA Breakfast Meeting On Wednesday
The next Pennsylvania Quarter Neighborhood Association Breakfast Meeting will occur this Wednesday, Dec 10, at 8:30am. This month’s location will be Harriet’s Family Restaurant at 432 11th St NW (south of the Harrington Hotel entrance and around the corner from Harry’s).
On tap for the meeting: The Chinatown Cultural Development Strategy Presentation by Patricia Zingsheim & Thor Nelson of the DC Office of Planning

Synopsis: The Chinatown Cultural Development Strategy, a city initiative that the Office of Planning and the Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs are now undertaking, is intended to develop strategies that will position Chinatown as a regional destination for Chinese/Asian cultural programs, events, and festivals as well as businesses. Patricia Zingsheim, Associate Director of Revitalization and Design at DC’s Office of Planning, and Urban Designer Thor Nelson, will discuss some of the consultant’s initial recommendations, review the range of strategies they will still be examining, and describe future steps required to implement the study’s recommendations.
