Update: VIP Convoy Required Heli Cover

I’ve been held up several times over the last few years by such convoys. No telling who it is for but I sometimes wonder if it isn’t Cheney on his way home from an appearance on the Senate floor.

I’m often cycling at the time and wearing stretch lycra. Is doffing said garment and bending over a suitable greeting in this country? It’s what I’ve been told.

The giveaway for Cheney or Bush is the ambulance following the motorcade… as far as I know, they’re the only two who get one. (Remember the ambulance conveniently on scene when Cheney had the little hunting mishap?)

There was a VIP event at the Building Museum, not exactly sure what it was, however.
Around 3 o’clock police were on 7th, 6th and 5th streets, as well as several police cars blocking G in front of the building museum. In addition, I saw many secret service cars around the Building museum.

I am assuming that either First Lady or the Pres were in attendance for a brief visit.

It was the Prez for a speech at the Building Museum to the National Governor’s Association
