*Update* – DDOT Traffic Advisory Due To March For Life
Here’s the skinny on tomorrow’s (Monday, January 22) intermittent street closings pertinent to our area due to the March For Life.
Parking – 7 am to 2 pm…
- No parking from 7 am to 2 pm on both sides of 7th Street from F Street, NW to Jefferson Drive, SW.
March For Life – 9 am to 1 pm…
- Main march assembly area is on the Mall between 4th Street, NW and 7th Street, NW. Official March For Life material indicates that the rally will start at Noon at “the Mall at 7th Street.”
March For Life – 1 pm to 4 pm…
- March takes place for approximately 3 hours with the march route starting at the Capitol building and finishing at the Supreme Court. The march route is not directly in the Penn Quarter.
- 7th Street, NW between H Street, NW and Constitution Avenue, NW may experience intermittent closures to allow “feeder marchers” to pass through the area.
The Washington Times covered the story and cites an estimate of 20,000 marchers for the event.
