Read The Good Book This Month
Well, not THE good book, but a good book nonetheless.
Today the DC Public Library kicks off its “The Big Read” campaign. Pick up a copy of Zora Neale Hurston’s “Their Eyes Were Watching God” and then visit one of the many events sponsored by the library. The Big Read runs April 19th to May 19th.
It’s a great book and there are events all over the city, but this one at the MLK library here in the Penn Quarter looks particularly interesting:

I think the book that everyone should read is _Cities: Back from the Edge_ by Roberta Gratz. Then maybe we could be close to being on the same page in terms of understanding urban revitalization.
