We were wondering when the downtown Macy’s (1201 G St, NW) would unveil their holiday window displays facing G Street NW. Now we know that it is today at 5 pm – singer Patti Labelle will be on hand to perform and do the honors along with Santa, of course. Last year it was Brian McKnight crooning…this year it will be Patti Labelle giving shoppers a new attitude.

Went and what a waste of time, Eastern HS Band needed to play holiday music, Santa was good, Patti gave a whole 3-5 mins and then back into the store, could not see her as it was way too dark at the doors to the store Macy’s just dropped the big one should have been an event not a street vendor hawking their wares for profit Just put the profit thing on the shelf for a hour and make the attendies what to shop right then after it is over Should have been a lot more fun for Kids and Parents and the Public in general Needed some polishing on the PR and Presentation
