Arts On Foot Recap & Pics
This year’s Arts On Foots festival (held on Saturday) was arguably the most successful one yet. Food was sold out by 3pm, artists were praising the great turnout, and the Harman Center staff was hard pressed to keep the free food handout tables stocked.
Here is one pic of the festivities. Also, neighborhood alarmists will be sad to hear that there were NO pan handlers, urine soaked sidewalks, or rowdy kids at the event.

I went to the Arts On Foot and it was really fantastic. The crowd was great, the blues band playing was top notch, the food was fantastic and I picked up a cool serigraph for the living room wall.
It was all the plusses of living downtown wrapped into one gorgeous and fun day.
i watched from the portico cafe in the museum… us and one older couple had the whole balcony to ourselves.. some wine and cheese..and i smuggled in some of jose andres best… a perfect set up…

It was a great festival and great music. THe atmosphere was great. It was nice not to be bothered by the local problems.
(That happened later in the evening/early morning, when the police had to break up a huge fight around 1 a.m. )
This festival was fantastic. It was even better than last year. I only wish it had lasted longer since I didn’t have enough time to do everything. I can’t wait for it next year.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments. This is one of two major events of the year that the Pennsylvania Quarter Neighborhood Association (PQNA) organizes (this one with the Downtown BID); I can’t tell you how wonderful it makes me feel that all those months of working on Arts on Foot were totally worth the effort!
If you don’t receive notices of PQNA events, send an email to joann@PennQuarter.org and in the body of the text, please type
your name
your residential building’s name
an office, home, or local cell number (and let me know which of the three it is)
your email address
If you also want to receive announcements of what is happening here, let me know that too.
Cheers, and thank you all,
Jo-Ann.

How fun, sorry we missed this. Mrs Columbo & I were at the VA Wine Fest in Leesburg. Wish we’d stayed in DC for this event instead.
