A New Show At Ford’s Theatre
Sort of. Beginning this month, Ford’s Theatre is offering History On Foot performances that meet up outside the theatre’s entrance. Lasting 90 minutes, these mile and a half walks talk you through the events of April 14th, 1865 “the most exciting night in our nation’s history!” (James Swanson may disagree with that description).
Reservations are recommended for the walks which are held Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 10 am & 4 pm. For more information email groups [at] fords.org

I went on one of the preview tours; it’s a lot of fun and very informative. It’s led by an actor who’s supposed to be one of the detectives on duty the night that Lincoln was shot. The tour goes to various locations involved in the investigation and reads the statements taken. It’s sort of a CSI-1865.
Since our abode, The Artisan, is right there on Booths’ Alley, I figured this was a must-attend event. I just signed us up for May 30 at 4:00 – I will let all know how it is!

That’s worth a $10 million noncompetitive grant right there, isn’t it?
