ANC 2C Debate & Forum Tonight!
Tonight, there will be a debate & forum with two ANC candidates: John Tinpe (ANC 2C03) and Richard Rogers (ANC 2C04). It will be more of a forum because the incumbent ANC candidates chose to decline their invitations for debate. Why don’t the current 2C03 or 2C04 commissioners ever want to meet with their constituents?
What: ANC 2C Debate/Forum
When: Tuesday, October 17, 7:30pm
Where: Metropolitan Community Church, 5th and Ridge streets (between M and N)
Who: John Tinpe (ANC 2C03) and Richard Rogers (ANC 2C04)

John Tinpe was very impressive last night. Gallery Place/Chinatown would be very well served by him.

Discussion topics included the ever worsening parking and traffic crises facing Mass and NY Avenues, the lack of homeland security readiness, racial division, and problems with the current ANC leadership which will stay in power unless folks get out and vote and support the alternatives.
It’s meaningless to complain about how poorly they serve us if we don’t bother to vote.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Commissioner Mark Dixon, who serves as Chairperson of ANC 6C and represents the area roughly between K Street and N Street, and between 1st and 4th Streets will also be attending the MVSNA meeting tonight.
The full area of ANC 6C roughly is bounded by 9th Street, NW as it westernmost border to 8th Street, NE as its easternmost border. The area is bounded on the north by New York and Florida Avenues and on the south by East Capitol Street, Pennsylvania Ave., and Constitution Ave. (Map available at http://www.mountvernonsquare.org/images/ANC6C.pdf).
Hope to see you there.
Cary, MVSNA President
