Two DC Antiques Roadshow Episodes Premiere Tonight

Public television’s Antiques Roadshow made its Washington DC appearance by stopping by the Convention Center last summer just up the road from our neighborhood. Two of the three DC shows that went to production are premiering tonight with the first episode having premiered one week ago on May 23. (Spoiler Alert: The video clip above shows the first twenty minutes of episode one.)
Whether it’s dropping in for a catalog auction or noodling around looking at the weekly auction items on display, it’s always an education to check out the antiquities for sale at Weschler’s Auctioneers and Appraisers at 909 E Street. You might say that Penn Quarter has its own antiques roadshow every week but we like seeing the PBS version too. You never know what bargain you might find or learn about!
Antiques Roadshow airs tonight at 8 pm (Episode 2) and at 9:30 pm (Episode 3) on WETA, Channel 26 (26-1 if you’re watching Over The Air television).
