Christmas Time Is Here
The forecast doesn’t call for snow, so it looks like we won’t get a white Christmas this year. But that’s ok; there is plenty of holiday cheer in and around downtown DC to make up for it. Today is Yesterday was the last day of the Downtown Holiday Market, which really livens up F Street at this time of year. Macy’s and other downtown stores have had their holiday window displays up for quite some time. Even a few of the condo balconies in PQ have trees or lights up to help with the holiday spirit.
On a recent trip to Ocean City, Maryland, we were reminded of how exuberant some small town/suburban areas can be over the holiday season. If you’ve never witnessed the OC Winterfest of Lights, well, let’s just say Ricky Bobby might have designed this display.

WTOP mentioned Festivus here. it’s hard to believe that it originated from a TV sit-com.

Festivus was awesome yesterday. The Airing of Grievances was a bit stressful, but the Feats of Strength was a joy to behold.
Merry Christmas to all, & to all a good night.
