Historic facades grace the front of the Lafayette condominium and today’s crib is behind one of those facades – the address is 631 D St NW (Unit 327). We visited this 1 BR/1 BA unit and if it’s that hybrid old/modern built-out loft feeling you’re looking for than this is the place for you.
We liked the large, factory style southern facing windows giving the main living area an airy, light touch along with black granite and appliances. There’s plenty of room for living and dining in this main area. Hardwood floors are in place throughout with the bathroom and bedroom closer to the front door where you enter. Some like having a window in the bedroom but this one doesn’t which is the only drawback we observed.
It’s MLS listing is DC7368336, it comes in at 900 square feet (MLS specified) and the list price is $475K for a $528 per square foot asking price. The original edifice that stood here is the Central Armature Works building erected in 1926 and the facade still stands today so you might say we’ve gone old school on ya.
