File this under unusual news of the month, perhaps the year. An adult male went after a cellphone that might have been tossed into the garbage chute and accidentally fell down the chute. The good news is that DC’s Fire & EMS Department pulled him out alive and well. We are happy to hear about that outcome.
Those of you who are long time residents in the Penn Quarter neighborhood may remember a not so happy ending when a woman fell down an elevator shaft and unfortunately perished in a Penn Quarter building over the 2005 Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
