Chinatown – The Mass Court building will be getting the Carving Room, a “boozy” delicatessen. September is the slated opening time frame and a few more details emerge. [Washingtonian]
Penn Quarter – Meatballs on E St NW between 6th and 7th St is closed. A moving truck showed up Saturday and carted away their stuff. The hours are scratched off the door and the menus are off the wall. Props to PQ Living tweep Lisbeth2121 for reporting it first before anyone else in DC. All Over DC – Here’s one list to consult for what area businesses are up to on July 4th. The Penn Quarter and downtown will have a few of their businesses celebrating. America Eats Tavern, Poste, Asia Nine, and Café du Parc are all mentioned. [Washingtonian]

So what was ultimately the reason for closing? I mean, every time I walked by, the place seemed busy. I hated the service, but it wasn’t God awful. lol
