Here’s what we were reading recently about neighborhood news in DC. Have something to add? Leave it in the comments!
Penn Quarter to Mount Pleasant – Like the Arlington Rap (from Go Remy), another local puts together a song with a DMV theme. We are on the 42 bus frequently which now gets its own song from singer/songwriter René Moffatt. [WaPo] & [Video on Vimeo (with lyrics)] & [Arlington Rap (Go Remy)]
Chinatown – The GAO opines on what to do with the FBI building as a part of the federal government’s building stock. Might it be more cost effective to sell the property off to a private developer and build a new headquarters elsewhere? It just might. [DC MUD (Metro Urban Diary)]
Downtown – We’ve eaten at Fuel Pizza on K Street a few times now and await the opening of their Penn Quarter location at 6th and F St NW. Here’s a review of the concept. [Capital Cooking]
Chinatown – Daikaya on 6th St NW next to Graffiato’s updates their opening date to late spring/early summer 2012. [Washington CityPaper]
