A blast of community meetings takes place tomorrow and the day after in our area.
Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) – Monthly Meeting
Teusday, February 10 (Tomorrow)…6:30 pm to 8 pm
Location: Calvary Baptist Church, 733 8th Street, NW (entrance on 8th Street NW between G and H Streets NW)
Agenda: Officers from MPD PSA 101W will provide an update on neighborhood safety issues. Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans and DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Deputy Director for Compliance and Inspection Nicholas Majett will be the main speakers. Majett has over 25 years of experience in the DC Government and has been responsive to our downtown neighborhood issues.
Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 6C – Full Meeting
Wednesday, February 11…7 pm
Location: Heritage Foundation, 214 Massachusetts Avenue, NE NPR, 635 Massachusetts Ave, NW
Agenda: Check out Life In Mount Vernon Square’s post…the ANC6C website is a little challenged in the agenda posting department.
Note: The Life In Mount Vernon Square site has a good readout of the most recent ANC6C Planning, Zoning & Environment Meeting which includes details about the planned “top off the I-395 center leg freeway” project to be developed by the Louis Dreyfus Property Group.
MVT Community Improvement District (MVTCID) – Marketing Committee
Wednesday, February 11…6 pm
Location: G & J Deli – 4th and K Streets NW The Club Room on the 12th floor at the K Condo (CityVista), 475 K Street, NW
The MVT’s Marketing Committee is looking for ideas and help spreading the news about new retailers, residential buildings and office buildings in the MVTCID.
