Final Week To Register To Vote!
This is a friendly reminder that we are in the final week of voter registration for DC’s primary election. Since many of the Distrct’s politicians run as Democrats, many of the highly contested races are settled in the primary election, not the general election. (i.e. this year’s Ward 2 Council position)
There’s still time to register to vote! You can go online to the DC Board of Elections and Ethics (DCBOEE) and fill out the electronic form. The website will then present you with a printable form that you must print and mail to the DCBOEE. All forms must be post marked no later than August 11.

This will be my first time voting in the District. Will we get a list of candidates or a voting booklet to read up on what/who we’re voting for? Or is there a website that lists this type information? Thanks!
You can access voter info on the board of elections website http://www.dcboee.org/
there should also be a voter guide with candidate statements mailed to you.
here is the list of candidates for the sept 9th primary:

Remember you MUST register with a party to vote in this election!
ANC elections will be held during the general election in november…
Adding to #1:
Would you like a councilman who would reduce the allowable noise level in our neighborhood, rather than increase it, which is what happened to us.
Would you like a councilman who would not, at the same time, decrease the allowable decibal level in the neighborhood where he lives?
Would you like a councilman who would put enforcement back in the hands of the MPD, rather than give it to DCRA (like we ever see them)?
Then vote for Carey Silverman. Enough of this self-serving politician.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
It is very important to vote in our Ward 2 election on September 9th.
Would you like to be safe in your own home? Would you like to have nice parks to go to? Would you like to have peace and quiet in your own home?
Would you like to have small businesses in your neighborhood?
Would you like to have more flowers and flower baskets in the neighborhood?
Would you like to have clean streets?
Would you like to have more police presence in our neighborhood at night and the weekends? Would you like the homeless to stop harassing you?
Would you like for someone to listen to our needs regarding our own neighborhood?
Would you like to have a full-time Coucilmember?
If so, then vote for Cary Silverman. He will put our interests first.
