RSS FeedFirst Look at Joe’s (750 15th St NW)
There’s been quite a bit of buzz and build up for Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab (750 15th St. NW). DC definitely loves it’s steak and seafood, so I’m sure the menu will do well. On a recent visit to the bar to check out the scene, it was clear almost immediately that Joe’s is primed to be THE downtown after work drinks spot. Joe’s offers what seems to be one of the largest bar spaces this part of town, historic architecture and a comfortable ambiance. They are still working out the kinks, I hope, with painfully slow bar service that lacked personality and an overhead speaker system for announcing table reservations that is completely incongruent with the setting. We look forward to a return visit to experience the dining room and definitely think it’s worth a stop after work to toast with the lifeblood of DC – lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians.
