Fringe Festival Gearing Up…Starts Thursday
Fan of the unjuried, the unusual and the offbeat? This town will be right for you for the next couple of weeks as the 3rd annual incarnation of the Capital Fringe Festival is set to open the day after tomorrow, July 10, and run until July 27. Many of the events take place in downtown or near downtown venues with the main box office (aka “Fort Fringe”) occupying the old A.V. Ristorante Italian restaurant at 607 New York Ave, NW. You can also purchase tickets online or if you can’t make it in DC, there are numerous other similar festivals around the USA.
A PQ welcome goes out to the Fringe!

This year’s FRINGE is going to be amazing! The tent at the old AV is very cool — and the way they transformed the restaurant into a theater and offices is inventive.
Catalogs of shows are available at all of the venues (Flashpoint, Warehouse, Goethe, Harmon) — it is sometimes easier to organize your thoughts with the printed version rather than the online one (which can be downloaded.)
Passes start at only 4 shows — a great discount. You can use it for 4 different shows, or 2 people to 2 shows, or 4 people to 1 show (you get the idea.) A great way to save money.
See you at the Fringe.
