I love the grocery store updates. Keep those coming!

Just found your site last night (bec. of DCist’s link). I really like all the info on new retail and other development in the area. Would like to see a little more info on crime in the area.

How about links to places that deliver to our neighborhood? Or restaurant reviews? Or celebrity sightings? :)

Comment by krwaltondc on July 10, 2006 @ 7:31 am

You’re doing a great job! I really enjoy the neighborhood news. Thanks for keeping us all informed.

Have you seen the DC Chinatown group on Flickr? It’s a great place for folks to share photos of the neighborhood. Check out

Again, kudos on a terrific blog!

There’s a great Flickr ChinatownDC group. You may want to check that out and feature a photo of the week, a good way to chronicle visually the changing landscape of our neighborhood. Not too mention some of the photos are just down right hot!

I like all of the real estate news — new retail, new condos. I’d like to see more “inside info” (of course, someone in the neighborhood would have to be on the inside) on the development scene. For example, I want to know more details about the development plans for the block of 11 and F.

I’d like to know more about the bloggers too. Could you do a profile on each of you?

In terms of the look of the site, I like the style of http://www.curbed.com. New posts have a good trail of links to previous related links.

You are all doing a good job — the site helps to create a neighborhood feel.

As someone who recently started working in the neighborhood, I’d like to see at least a list of GP restaurants (reviews would be great too!). Maybe a neighborhood happy hour listing, too?

Yes to grocery store, restaurant and condo news. No to crime reports — blech!

One thing you could look into–there have been metro trucks parked in front of 7th and H and 7th and G Streets overnight, all night, for a month now. The trucks run and someone sits inside, but they never seem to appear. Once, when they did, they wouldn’t answer my question as to why they are there. You live above it, right? Shouldn’t you be worried?

i hang on your every post. very relevant stuff.

in addition to condo sales, i would also be interested in the various rental rates of the apartments and condos in our area.

Comment by pqresident on July 10, 2006 @ 9:13 pm

for myself and my guests, I have thought that a commercial lot parking guide would be useful (rates, locations, tips).

Comment by Anonymous on July 11, 2006 @ 7:14 am

This site is good to get an idea of rental rates..

Suggestion: Please use street addresses or intersections when you talk about places. When you say “Clara Barton” or “Jefferson” or “Lafayette” buildings, I have no idea whether this place is a block away or 8 blocks away, unless I walk past it every day.

Very useful site that obviously many of us turn to for development info. Keep it up!
