Last Day Of Restaurant Week
Today is the last day of Restaurant Week, we hope everyone was able to take advantage of the cheap eats these last 7 days. Any good or bad comments for the way various restaurants in PQ participated?

OYA for lunch — always a good choice — and they are keeping their RW menu thru the end of the the month (possibly Feb?)
IL MULINO for lunch — yummy Italian. Nice atmosphere. They are keping the RW lunch ment thru MARCH and the RE dinner menu thru February.
CAFE 15 at the Sofitel is closing this week for renovations and will reopen Feb 1. Always an elegant choice for classical French-style service and delicious food.
COEUR D’LION was disappointing. The staff was overwhelmed, service was slow, and the extremely limited dinner menu was rather ordinary.
RASIKA is still my fav restaurant in PQ. Consistent food, amazing lamb tandori, Gina at the bar is a blast, and an attentive staff.
TEN PEHN offered a solid RW menu with plenty of choices. Wish my medium-rare wasn’t still swimming upstream. My first time there, and will go back.
We went to Ten Penh last night and were let down. All of the food was very greasy and none of it stood out as good. Big disappointment.
Rosa Mexicana’s RW menu was extremely limited, and didn’t seem to be that great of a deal, compared to regular menu prices. Ordered off the regular menu instead, and was as happy as ever.
D’ACQUA: The menu and my food were both disappointing and the service was terrible. I’m surprised the restaurant has lasted this long.
OYA: Excellent selections, service and food. I am always impressed.
RASIKA: Over-rated for extremely small portions. I’ve been several times now and cannot understand all the hype.
i went to Oyamel but wound up not ordering from the restaurant week menu so that i could enjoy all of the delicious vegetarian items. we LOVED it and can’t wait to go back. i definitely recommend checking it out.
another perk – if you have a need to eat an early dinner before a show, they start dinner service at 4pm – unlike the majority of other restaurants which are closed between 3-5pm.
We went to Ruth’s Chris and the deal was really great. Salad, filet mignon or ribeye (and a few other choices) plus dessert for $30. Can’t beat it. Service was great as well.
I was pleasantly suprised. I had checked out other menus and was disappointed that other restaurants had a host of surcharges on their Restaurant Week menu. What’s the point? If they can’t swing it or are unwilling to offer a meal for $30, then they shouldn’t participate.
Butterfield 9 extended through this weekend I think, I went Wed night. It was my favorite of of Restaurant Week 08!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
We went to Ristorante Tosca last minute on friday night without a reservation and were able to get 2 seats at the bar and order restaurant week menu at the bar.
Was quite good and a fair menu – only 2 or 3 items that required surcharge as i recall.
