Latin School Request To Move To PQ Denied
The Washington Post reported that the D.C. Public Charter School Board voted 5-0 to reject the Washington Latin School’s petition to move from its current location in
Ahlstrom stated during the hearing that the school’s present location is too small to accommodate the growing student body. In a letter to parents, the Headmaster also argued that moving the school closer to Metro lines (the school is currently accessible only by bus) would help maintain and recruit a more diverse student body. Yet, the Board and several parents argued against the move citing financial concerns as the primary reason for the disapproval.

Since there is already a charter school next to Teaism, named “Marriott Hospitality Public Charter High School” at 410 8th St NW, I’m guessing this new school would go in the same building.
