Ming’s Restaurant (617 H St NW), a long standing Chinese restaurant, is now closed. Ming’s has been operating in the neighborhood for a long time. The sign on the front door tells the story. “As many of you are aware, we have lost our lease due to the upcoming redevelopment of the property. The restaurant no longer business.[sic]” Further confirmation is available from Yelp. Which development is coming? It’s the one proposed by Monument Development for a mixed office-retail building.
