RSS FeedMovie Trailers Spotted Downtown
This is the second time in recent days we’ve seen movie trailers out and about town. The first time? Directly in front of Tryst on 18th Street NW in Adams Morgan the night of November 1. The second time? Earlier this week in the 1300 block of F Street NW near the M+S Grill. We stopped one of the techs to ask him about the movie being shot and his response was that it is a pilot for HBO. Further questions yielded nothing from the tight lipped fellow as he went back to chattering on his two-way radio. No movie logos on the trucks either. The HBO line might have been a throw away as we know Bones was shooting in DC as was (is? will be?) Blonde Charity Mafia and State of Play. Reader comments and tips on what shoot this was are encouraged.

I saw Kate Burton (Ellis Grey from Grey’s Anatomy) at an Obama phone bank earlier this week and she said she was in town shooting a pilot for Washingtoneine.
Isn’t prostitution illegal? It’s sad Jessica Cutler and Alexandra Dupré are being glorified as celebrities and it’s a worrisome precedent.
I walked right into the middle of filming at lunch time earlier this week. They were filming a scene of people crossing Pennsylvania at 7th, trying to time all the extras crossing with the real lights and all the rest of us on our lunch breaks actually trying to cross the street too! The blonde actress, Rachael Taylor I guess?, was there getting her makeup done.

The Washington Post reported earlier this week that the HBO show Washingtoneine was being filmed here. Last Saturday I saw them on 15th near Old Ebbitt Grill and was given the same info by the crew. On Monday they were filming at the Willard.
