National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) To Discuss Public Art Project At Tomorrow Night’s ANC2C Meeting
The National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 New York Ave NW) at the corner of 13th St, New York Ave, and H St NW will be discussing a public art project at this tomorrow evening’s ANC 2C meeting (Tue, Jul 13) at 6 pm. The ANC2C website links to the evening’s full agenda.
We received the following statement about the proposed mural to be painted by MISS CHELOVE whose murals can be found in other parts of DC:
The National Museum of Women in the Arts’ (NMWA) public art project will consist of the installation of artworks on building scaffolding during our upcoming renovation. Debuting in April 2022, the first work will be an original large-scale mural by DC-area artist MISS CHELOVE. MISS CHELOVE’s bold visuals will be translated onto screen-printed fabric and positioned on scaffolding adjacent to the museum’s west façade–at the intersection of 13th Street NW and New York Avenue NW—to be displayed from March through September 2022.
