New Poll: Where Will You Be On January 20th?
We would like to draw your attention to the new poll on the sidebar. Where will you be on January 20th, the day of the Presidential Inauguration?
And these are the results from our last poll: Will you shop in downtown DC for the holidays?
68% – Yes, there are stores I’ll patronize downtown.
32% – No, I’m shopping elsewhere or online.

I am going to stumble around drunk meeting new people
We have rooftop access to watch the parade but unless you’re one of the first 10 people up there, I don’t think the Secret Service will allow us to see much of anything. BORING.
I will be leaving for a ski trip in New England. There is no point in being restricted in your own neighborhood while the rest of middle America comes here to overwhelm it.
Any one going to this evening’s security briefing for residents at the convention center?

Yesterday I attended a breifing by the National Park Service Police, Capitol Police, Metropolitian Police, and the Secret Service. Amazingly enough, they had little to say that hasn’t already appeared in the Washington Post. Tomorrow (Wednesday) we can expect a joint press release with lots more details.
A tip from the National Park Service Police …. expect the ATM’s to be out of cash. Get your green stuff early. Expect credit/debit card networks to be overwhelmed, too.
