Last Day To Order Challah For Jewish American Heritage Month
The Jewish Historical Society at 4th and F St NW wrote in to let us know about their challah sale during May to benefit Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington programs. Today is the last day to order:
The Jewish Historical Society is holding a challah sale during May (Jewish American Heritage Month) for residents and workers in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, and we wanted to share this with your audience.
The cost is $24 for 4 weeks of challah, which includes a loaf each of the 4 weeks in May starting May 9. Challah may be picked up each week on Thursdays and Fridays before 4 p.m. We offer complimentary delivery to offices and residences in Penn Quarter that place five or more orders. So, talk to your co-workers and neighbors!
You may also make a tax-deductible donation to benefit D.C. Central Kitchen.

DC Sail Charity Happy Hour On Saturday May 10
DC Sail wrote in to let us know about a fundraiser they’re having in the Mount Vernon Triangle:
Join us to raise money for DC Sail, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit sailing organization whose mission focuses on getting under-served children out on the water. Just a $10 donation (cash at the door) for amazing food & drink specials, plus we’ll have a raffle, merchandise and general merriment.
