Sunday Outdoor Seating
We always enjoy spending a summer Sunday morning outside with a beverage reading the Sunday newspaper. Nice floral boxes, improved exterior seating, and a few umbrellas at the Starbucks at 7th St and Indiana Ave NW draws us in. What outdoor Sunday spots draw you in within downtown or the PQ?
On The Chopping Block: US Post Office At TechWorld
A few weeks ago, the USPS announced its plan to close approximately 3,700 under-performing retail locations. A list of those 3,700 locations was provided by the USPS and TBD turned that data into a nice map. Unfortunately, the USPS retail location in the basement of TechWorld (800 K St NW) is on that list. That post office location is most central to condos and apartments in Penn Quarter and Mt. Vernon Triangle, though only during the hours of 9-5 Mon-Fri.
So, what are our alternatives? 12th & Penn Ave, 14th & L, or Union Station, with Union Station offering service on the weekends .. for now.
Tap Into Your Inner Artist

She believes, and so do I, that everyone has the ability to be an artist, it’s simply a matter of learning how to tap into your creativity and apply it. We are fortunate to live in a neighborhood with so many museums and galleries to view, experience and enjoy art. Here are just a few opportunities for you to tap into your inner artist and create your own masterpiece:
