Penn Quarter Has Caps Spirit
Photo credit: PQ Living reader Jeff. Thanks Jeff!
It was an auspicious start for the Washington Capitals yesterday night notching a 2-1 overtime victory over the New York Rangers. The one timer by Alex Semin from the very top of the slot with 1:36 left in the single overtime period sent the home crowd away happy. We could tell that fans were extra jubilant by the more than usual vigorous horn honking that announced the end of the game along 7th Street. If there is any question whether or not Penn Quarter has Caps spirit, it is answered by the above photo of the office building at the corner of 7th and F Streets NW. Yes we do. And, yes we can.
Game 2 is tomorrow night at 7:30 pm at the Verizon Center. Lets…go…Caps!
