Jonas Brothers Come To PQ
With the Verizon Center schedule in its usual summer drought, we already take greater notice when an event is actually happening at the entertainment complex. However, we’ve never experienced lines of fans up and down 7th street waiting to get into the Verizon Center. The Jonas Brothers’ show certainly packed the streets as well as the parking garages last night.

More Fireworks Photos & Photos Of The Week
A big PQ Living thank you goes out to Chris who sent in these excellent photos of the July 4 fireworks on the National Mall. Beautiful colors! We’re going to consider them the Photos (plural!) of the Week. Tomorrow, you’ll be able to find them on PQ Living’s Facebook page too!
W Hotel Debuts Today
An anonymous reader sent in this photo of a worker cleaning the windows at the newly remodeled W Hotel (515 15th street NW). The hotel is set to open today after more than a year of renovations.
The roof deck of the hotel (always popular when it was the Hotel Washington) will be open from 5 pm to 2 am Sunday through Thursday, and 5 pm to 3 am on Friday & Saturday. The W will also feature a steakhouse and a wine bar.
The addition of the W Hotel (and Bliss Spa) is certainly a boon to the neighborhood. We imagine this will quickly become one of the more popular hotels in DC.
