Ford’s Theatre: Rediscovering An Old Neighborhood Friend
When you live in a tourist area such as the Penn Quarter you might wait for visitors to come to DC before you head out to the newest museum or attraction. We can understand that and do it ourselves – we still haven’t made it to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum yet (it’s on our list…just waiting for the next time family come up to visit). One place you should not wait to visit is the recently reopened Ford’s Theatre.
Cribs XIII: On Top Of The World
What’s fun about this installation of Cribs? A penthouse roof deck with killer views, a top floor 2 BR/2 BA with den and 2 secure, underground parking spots. Not to mention the usual luxury items like hardwood floors and granite counters.
We’re off to #1203 at 301 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, in The Sonata condo coming in at a $799K listing price with a condo fee of $835.70 per month (MLS #DC6800249). This unit is on the eastern face of the building with the main living area facing both south and east – a curved stairway leads up to the penthouse roof deck. The bedrooms face east so you get that natural early alarm clock, the morning sun. We think that’s fun too.

Evolution: New Perspectives On DC’s Homeless
The Dinner Program for Homeless Women (DPHW) at 309 E Street, NW is hosting an event we wanted to tell you about. What is DPHW? The Dinner Program for Homeless Women is an independent, 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization serving the District of Columbia. Since 1979, the organization has continually served hot, nutritious, appetizing meals to the homeless and poor of downtown DC.
The event of the month, Evolution!, takes place in one week on Friday, February 27th. DPHW will highlight the lives of DC’s homeless men and women. During this evening, they will adjust the lens on homeless neighbors to bring into focus their everyday struggles and challenges in our city. DPHW will also reveal its new name and image, which captures the heart of DPHW today and its vision for the future.
Don’t miss this chance to bring your friends and share with your community a night of insight, opportunity, and change at:
