PQ Couture
Weschler’s Tuesday auction this week is featuring a large collection of designer clothes (in addition to their usual weekly offerings). Stop by on Monday for the preview, and then on Tuesday starting at 9:30 am to make your bid. You can also put in a bid ahead of time on Monday, which works much the same as eBay’s bid increments.
Central Wins James Beard Award
Downtown’s very own Central (1001 Pennsylvania Ave, NW), the yummy American restaurant offering by Michel Richard, recently won the 2008 James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant. Also of DC note is Eric Ziebold of CityZen, the restaurant at the Mandarin Hotel (we’ll call it “extended downtown” at 1330 Maryland Ave, SW). Ziebold won the award for Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic region. Way to go!
Thanks goes to an anonymous PQ Living tipster for today’s entry.
