Thanks to Cheryl for letting us know that the optician (I-Doc Optical) at 702 7th St will be moving to the 900 block of F St. Like many restaurants on 7th street, Legal Seafood is craving more space to serve more customers. So, after I-Doc Optical moves to F St, Legal Seafood will expand into that neighboring space.
It’s nice to see that the optician will be staying in the neighborhood!

Local Wine Shop Owner Robbed & Shot

Falling under the “be watchful and aware” category, we received independent reports indicating the owner of Tunnel Fine Wines & Spirits, which recently opened at 3rd and H Streets, NW, and was previewed by PQ Living, was robbed at gunpoint in the store and shot in the leg late last week. The injury was not fatal and the owner is recovering. This business does not sell singles or low end alcohol.
To Live, Shop, And Work In Downtown DC
The Examiner gives us a nice overview of Downtown DC’s revival. Many DC Gov people are quoted in the article, but the best quote comes from Kate Mulhearn, spokeswoman for West Elm. “That means people potentially can live downtown, shop downtown and work downtown, and it’s great for D.C. to truly be able have that again,” Mulhearn said.
