Speaking of street closures, the Race for the Cure is tomorrow with the race day information posted here. Events start at 6:45 am with Metro opening at 5 am. The race route runs along Constitution Avenue starting at 8 am.
Street Closure This Weekend
The PHILIPPINE FESTIVAL this Sunday, June 3rd, will have Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 3rd and 6th Streets closed. Didn’t notice hours on their website, but we’re told the streets will be closed from 8 am to 9 pm.
One Step Closer to: Small Fries, Big Mac
Starting Monday, June 4th, applications are being accepted at the under-construction McDonald’s on E ST between 9th & 10th. Can’t be long now till you can get a hamburger & hot apple pie.
*UPDATED* Incident (Stabbing ?) at 11th & G?

Reports coming in of a stabbing on 11th & G. Right now we’re hearing it labeled as a protest related incident. Photos & additional details as they become available.
Not much to see in the photos but cop cars & yellow tape. 700 11th ST NW, protesters are often outside the building (apparently construction protesters). No official word on what went down.
