Downtown – Woodward Table opens in the old Potenza space at 15th and H St NW. We’ve been twice already and have nothing but good things to say about the food, drink, and atmosphere. We promised a review last Friday but we’re still working on it. In the meantime, you can check out this preview. [Urban Daddy]
Penn Quarter – We know it’s been two weeks since the general election but if you want to see the official results, you can find them at this DC Government website. [DC Government – Board of Elections]
NoMa – JBG puts up a coming soon website for 77 H St NW which will be the apartment building on top of our soon-to-be-neighborhood Wal-Mart coming in the summer of 2013. 303 apartments coming soon to a Wal-Mart near you! It’s hard to get used to saying we’ll have a neighborhood Wal-Mart… [JBG – 77 H St NW apartment interest registration] & [JBG – 77 H St/Wal-Mart rendering gallery] & [MV+A Architects – Wal-Mart rendering gallery]
Downtown – The Federalist celebrates one year in operation at the Madison Hotel (1177 15th St NW (cross: M St)). Here’s some Q & A with its chef, Harper McClure. [DC Eater]
Capitol Riverfront/Near Southeast Downtown – We’ve written about the old Garfinckel’s building at 14th and F St NW, now home to The Hamilton restaurant. Now the Streets of Washington takes it to the next level by doing a much more thorough job of exploring its heritage and history. (We still have our Garfinckel’s sports coat hanging in our closet!) Penn Quarter – We’ve broadcast that the new Minibar is open at 855 E St NW. More stories keep on coming. [DC Curbed] & [Washington City Paper] & [Urban Daddy]
