Penn Quarter – The folks who run Absolute Thai at 6th and G St NW will be opening Absolute Noodle at 772 5th St NW where the Quiznos used to be. [The 42]

K Street – Capitale soft opens in the old K Street Lounge space at 1301 K St NW. One club replaces another. [Thrillist] & [REVAMP]

Mount Vernon Triangle – Al Dente, an Italian restaurant, will be moving in to the retail space at 425 Eye St NW. This is the ground floor of a reskinned/rehabbed office building. [The Triangle]

Downtown – Riscatto Restaurant will be replacing Roberto Donna’s former Galileo III at 600 14th St NW. [Washington CityPaper - Young & Hungry]

Penn Quarter – The new and relocated Minibar starts taking  reservations tomorrow (see the Minibar website for more details on the process). The new location with expanded capacity is the former Zola Wine & Kitchen at 855 E St NW (the northeast corner of 9th and E St NW). [DC Eater]

Downtown – Maddy’s Tap Room is supposed to soft open today at 1100 13th St NW with a Texican menu. This is different from Tex-Mex. [Washington CityPaper - Young & Hungry]

Chinatown – The 7th St Potbelly will be leaving mid-2013 to be replaced by a Lime Fresh Mexican Grill. You’ll now have to trek to 11th and K St NW or next to the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern on Indiana Ave NW to get those fresh Oreo shakes. You’ll also have three fast Mexican restaurants to choose from in a single block of 7th St. We’re not sure if that’s enough choice. [WaBizJo]

Downtown – Catch 15 Oyster Bar and Tapas is coming to the 1500 block of K St NW. [Prince of Petworth]
