Penn Quarter – Jose Andres is expanding the “mini” program by opening up Barmini, a cocktail lab that takes the same approach as minibar, but applies it to cocktails and drinks. It will be adjacent to minibar at 855 E St NW. [Washington CityPaper] & [DC Eater]
Chinatown – Daikaya Ramen will open on February 14 at 5 pm at 705 6th Street NW. Can’t go wrong with a bowl of ramen on a cold winter day. [Washingtonian]
Penn Quarter – Learn more about Chef Frederik de Pue who opened Table in Shaw and will open Azur on 8th Street NW in Penn Quarter (old Cafe Atlantico). [Washington CityPaper]
Penn Quarter Crib(s) of the Week – We learned that a big ole’ penthouse at CityCenter went under contract for $3.8 million. We think we can call that our Crib of the Week. [DC Curbed]
