Pidzza is now open at 736 6th St NW in Chinatown and we stopped by to check out the food. Pidzza describes its mission is “to serve up delicious, gourmet pizza with a Turkish flare.” The restaurant is a fast casual, on demand style pizza shop that offers a preselected set of pizzas along with basic salads and a trim line of non-alcoholic drinks such as Stubborn Sodas and the 1893 Pepsi drinks. You can also assemble your own pizza with your own choice of ingredients.
We tried The Cauli (pictured below) which has chicken as the protein and roasted curried cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, and caramelized onions as the main vegetables. We tried half with the garlic cream cheese sauce and half with the tomato sauce The cream cheese sauce definitely worked better from a taste perspective.
