Last night, we participated in Dine and Dash, an opportunity to celebrate cocktails and nibbles at six neighborhood restaurants with proceeds benefiting Jose Andres’ charity, World Central Kitchen.
The progressive dinner seemed to be a huge success and we think a great way to enjoy the rich diversity of restaurants neighborhood (Azur, Jaleo, Oyamel, Poste, Proof, Zaytinya).
However, given the sweltering heat, it was the cocktails that often stood out more than the small bites of food. In particular, the punch at Proof (pictured here) was one of the most refreshing drinks we’ve ever tasted while packing a major “punch.” Whiskey, rum, and brandy with a grapefruit and chamomile syrup, delicious! Can that be a regular on the menu please?
