Tomorrow’s Weather Forecast: Rats
A PQL reader wrote in this morning wanting to talk about rats. The unyielding rain during the past few days seems to have driven every rat in this city out of their home and onto the streets. The area in question is the Center City parking lot and the shrubbery that surrounds the lot. Maybe they need a few of these handy rat rocks? And maybe the former CVS at 7th & H needs a rat rock inside the store because as this blogger walked by yesterday, a giant rat was on display in the window display case. Tomorrow’s weather forecast: more rats.

Ugh, I walk through Center City every morning and it skeevs me out. They are everywhere — and after this week, they are bolder and brazen in their strolls across the sidewalks. They didn’t even *move* yesterday when I walked past them. I’m so afraid they are going to run right over my shoe one day. There’s got to be a way to get rid of them. The city cut down the bushes, but that doesn’t seem to have helped.
The former K&B Books store front on F & 10th is rat infested. Can anything be done to enforce a clean up of abandoned/empty storefronts like this one?
