10th & G St NW Church Moves Out – Relocates to 4th & E St NW
An anonymous commenter lets us know that there is a massive moving truck in front of the presbyterian church on 10th and G. It looks as if demolition will start soon…
So, we did a quick check to see where they are moving to. According to this FCCUCC newsletter (pdf), the church will be relocating to First Trinity at 4th & E St NW. We know that a lot of residents are curious about the shift in location of the homeless population that usually loiters outside of the soup kitchen throughout the day. From the same pdf, it is stated that Meal Programs will continue in the social hall of First Trinity. But, will homeless from all other parts of DC still be bused into our neighborhood to utilize the soup kitchen?
Here is some background on the church project.

AFAIK, part of the problem is that homeless people are allowed to congregate outside public libraries (such as MLK, which is across from this church).
